Chef Tammy Haas

Cooking has been a lifelong passion for Tammy. She started manning the stove at her family’s North Dakota farm at age 15, having proven herself useless on the tractors. She’s been cooking ever since, even when she was partially distracted by careers as an intensive care nurse (five years) and trial lawyer (23 years). As a self-taught cook, Tammy’s spent years collecting cookbooks, embracing global cooking skills and developing recipes. Her cooking style combines classic techniques with impeccably fresh ingredients. She holds an enthusiastic belief that good food is always a celebration that needs to be shared with family and friends. Tammy has been a part of the Cooks family for more than 15 years, working with our retail team as well as teaching a wide array of classes, from the basics to the exotic — even a few Date Nights. Cooks’ chefs make it all work, and we are proud to have Tammy on our team. Check out some classes Chef Tammy teaches!
